Following WWE RAW from Boston on Monday, we learned the beginning of what the two War Games will look like.
CM Punk was rescued by Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes when confronted by The Vision – Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed and Logan Paul.
Of course, it won’t just be a three-on-three matchup and more people are likely to be added to the story.
For the women, Asuka and Kairi Sane, The Kabuki Warriors, won the WWE Women’;s Tag Team titles from Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss with help from Nia Jax and Lash Legend.
Flair and Bliss were saved from an end-of-show beatdown thanks to IYO SKY and the returning Rhea Ripley, which sets up two four women teams.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer notes that Becky Lynch and AJ Lee had been speculated to fill the final spots.
“On the women’s side, AJ Lee and Becky Lynch were going to be the captains,” Meltzer said. “So they could still be added, but…in the end, that would have to happen next week. But we know eight of the people, which would be Lash Legend, Nia Jax, and the Kabuki Warriors, and Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, and…Rhea Ripley and…IYO SKY, yeah.
“So there’s one spot left, and like I said, originally, it was going to be Lynch. If it is, Lynch is wrestling…Maxxine Dupri, so there will probably going to be an angle coming out of next week’s match at the Garden, if she’s still going to be in the Survivor Series match.”
For the men, they are likely to have some blockbuster names of their own.
Meltzer has also speculated that Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar will make their most recent returns next week for WWE, especially given the company is returning to their mecca, Madison Square Garden.
“I think Roman [Reigns] will probably show up at the Garden. I think [Brock] Lesnar will probably show up at the Garden. You know, Lesnar on the heel side, Roman on the babyface side, and then you’d still have one more spot for probably Jimmy Uso makes the most sense.”
Jimmy certainly would make sense given his ongoing story and somewhat power struggle with his brother Jey, but Meltzer also noted that Jacob Fatu was originally slated to be in the match before he needed to be written off to have surgery.
WWE Survivor Series goes down on November 25 at Pecto Park in San Diego.
