The fifth annual AEW Blood and Guts didn’t have too many matches on the card because both male and female namesake matches ran close to a combined one hour and 45 minutes.

But, the action that ensued, was very good. Here’s the results:

  • Women’s Blood and Guts: Triangle of Madness (Julia Hart, Skye Blue, and Thekla), Megan Bayne, Marina Shafir, and Mercedes Moné def. Jamie Hayter, Willow Nightingale, Harley Cameron, Kris Statlander, and Timeless Love Bombs (“Timeless” Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa) by surrender
The first-ever women’s Blood and Guts did not disappoint
  • Falls Count Anywhere: Hangman Adam Page def. Powerhouse Hobbs
  • Men’s Blood and Guts: Darby Allin, Roderick Strong, and The Conglomeration (Mark Briscoe, Orange Cassidy, and Kyle O’Reilly) def. Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, Daniel Garcia, and Pac) by submission
Moxley lives for the violence

Notes:

Storm surrendered on the behalf of Shirakawa, who was only in the match to replace the injured Queen Aminata.

In the men’s match, there certainly was blood and guts, more specifically the former. There is an already iconic picture of Jon Moxley trying to maim Roderick Strong.

Skye Blue went to another level

Although having said that, Skye Blue was absolutely covered in her match, too.

Violent wrestling isn’t for everyone, but this was wildly entertaining and well worth your time. Kyle O’Reilly had a standout performance.
