Seth Rollins has not held back on his thoughts regarding Vince Russo and Jim Cornette.
It’s been a while since either man was prominent in WWE.
Russo was the head writer in WWE during parts of the Attitude Era, a boom period for the company with TV ratings and PPV sales.

His influence on that success is often debated and he failed to replicate those heights in WCW and TNA for various reasons, but he is credited as being the mind behind some of he most bombastic and beloved storylines – or swerves – in WWE history.
Jim Cornette worked as an on-air personality in WWE and at times, a commentator in the 90s before co-owning and helping train the next generation of stars in Ohio Valley Wrestling.
Now, both men have their own podcasts and are known for their strong opinions – something Rollins isn’t a big fan of.
Speaking with Jay Mohr, Rollins went into detail on his dislike for the pair and the audiences they serve:
“So, I hate them both. I think they’re both jackasses. But if you had to pick — if you were like, gun to your head — which one would you side with? I’ve hung out with Cornette because Cornette was a booker of mine. He was fine. He’s super entertaining.
“I mean, the guy can still cut a promo. He’s just a victim of the hot-take culture where he has to say the craziest thing that comes to his brain, and that’s how he makes his money on his podcast.
“They’re both idiots. But if I had to pick one, it’d be Cornette. He hates Vince Russo with a passion. That is real.

“[Does anybody love Vince Russo other than Vince Russo?] Nobody that I’m aware of. He’s just a hanger-on, man. That guy’s an idiot.”
Rollins, currently out injured, is a WWE legend and a sure-fire Hall of Famer at this point. He’s still at the top of his game and no doubt has many more years in that position.
For now, Cornette and Russo will have to talk about him and WWE from the outside looking in.
