Wrestling Star Elijah Provides Update on His Road to Recovery

Elijah, a prominent figure in the wrestling world, has been absent from the ring for several months due to a torn triceps injury. However, he is hopeful that his return to the ring is imminent. In a recent conversation with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard, Elijah discussed his recovery progress and his eagerness to get back to competing.

The injury occurred on the June 17 episode of NXT during a six-man tag team match against AJ Francis, Trick Williams, and Wes Lee. Despite his team emerging victorious, Elijah suffered a severe triceps injury that required surgical intervention and led to an estimated six-month recovery period. Elijah described the incident, stating, “I jumped off of the top rope, I landed in a bad way and I tore my tricep right off the bone. So I’ve got myself a nice little scar here now and a screw in my arm.”

Elijah’s Rehabilitation and Anticipated Return

Although Elijah is not yet cleared to compete, he is making progress in his rehabilitation. He recently tested his arm’s strength by smashing someone with a guitar at Bound For Glory, indicating a level of recovery. Elijah expressed his desire to return to the ring, saying, “I’m feeling pretty good right now. But ultimately, it’s a surgeon and doctor call for me.” He is scheduled to meet with his medical team soon and hopes to receive clearance to compete by the time TNA holds its television tapings in Orlando, which is approximately three weeks away.

If Elijah is not cleared to compete in Orlando, he is aiming to return by the time TNA visits El Paso, Texas, from December 5-7. He emphasized that while he is eager to return, the decision ultimately rests with his medical team. Elijah’s enthusiasm for his potential return is palpable, and fans are eagerly awaiting his comeback. For those interested in seeing Elijah in action, tickets for the TNA events in Orlando and El Paso are currently on sale.
