WWE Unreal season two is out now on Netflix and it has given us a sneak peak into what the company had originally planned for some major events last year.

The opening shots of the fourth episode show several white boards containing ideas and outlines for several shows; including SummerSlam, Survivor Series, as well as weekly TV.

The preliminary card for SummerSlam had quite a different look to it.

It included CM Punk vs Gunther, Roman Reigns vs Bron Breakker, Seth Rollins vs Sami Zayn, IYO Sky vs Naomi, Rhea Ripley vs Asuka, Jey Uso vs Rusev, Finn Balor – as The Demon – vs Dominik Mysterio, Bayley vs Becky Lynch and The Bellas vs. Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.

Another card shows John Cena vs Cody Rhodes, and a match involving Trish Stratus facing an opponent to be determined.

WWE ended up having Roman Reigns and Jey Uso team

Out of all of those matches, only two came to fruition in it’s original idea: Punk vs Gunther and Cena vs Rhodes.

Sky and Naomi did wrestle each other in a triple threat with the addition of Ripley.

Reigns and Breakker did wrestle each other, but in a tag match with Jey Uso Roman’s partner and Bronson Reed joining Breakker.

The card also shed light on plans for the Bella Twins to reunite. Nikki has already made her WWE return, but Brie is yet to.

Finn Balor and Dominik Mysterio were also set to go their seperate ways but to date, they are still in the Judgement Day together.

The Vision’s team had some real starpower injected into it

As for Survivor Series, Unreal reveals that the original participant’s for the Men’s WarGames match were Reigns, Punk, Jey Uso, Sami Zayn, and Jacob Fatu battling a combination of The Vision (Rollins, Breakker, and Reed), Solo Sikoa, and JC Mateo.

A lot of those men remained in the match, but the injuries to Rollins and Fatu set off a chain of events.

Rollins, Sikoa and Mateo were replaced by Logan Paul, Brock Lesnar, and Drew McIntyre while Jimmy Uso and Cody Rhodes replaced Zayn and Fatu.
