Becky Lynch has revealed she is working through what will ‘probably’ be her final WWE contract.
The 38-year-old, who is widely regarded as the greatest women’s wrestler in WWE history, took a break from the company in May 2024 after Liv Morgan defeated her for the Women’s title at WWE King and Queen of the Ring.
Her contract lapsed in that period and she became a free agent. She enjoyed being a mum for nearly a year before returning at WrestleMania 40 as Lyra Valkyria’s surprise tag team partner.
During the opening episode of WWE Unreal on Netflix, Lynch got candid about her wrestling future and why she took a break.
“I told Hunter [Triple H], ‘Look, my contract’s up, I wanna take some time off,’ and he said ‘Ok. Well, look, we’ll pause it. We’ll give you a little bit of time and then we’ll renegotiate the contract when you’re ready.’ So, that’s what we did.

“That guilt is always hard. I had this little kid that I had then been leaving. I felt like when I’d come back, she was angry at me.
“Like I didn’t… I hadn’t had enough time with her. The time off, it was maybe gonna be forever. I don’t think I knew. I was kind of so content.
“This is probably it, this is the final run. This is the final contract. So I suppose it’s a matter of knowing that, understanding that and enjoying that the best I can.”
If it is Lynch’s final hurrah, she’s being doing great work with the Intercontinental title and remains one of the most over superstars in the company.
If she only signed a new deal last year, it’s probable that she has three years or so left on this current deal.
Appreciate her while you can!
