TNA President Carlos Silva Provides Update on TV Deal Negotiations

TNA President Carlos Silva has expressed optimism about the company’s progress in securing a new TV deal, stating that they are “getting ready to score” with a potential partner. In a recent interview with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard, Silva provided an update on the negotiations, using an American football analogy to describe their current position.

Silva previously mentioned that TNA was actively seeking a new rights partner, with the goal of having everything lined up by the fall of 2025, near the time of Bound For Glory. When asked to elaborate on the current status, Silva explained that the company has made significant progress, moving from being “in the parking lot” to being “in the stadium” and engaged with a potential partner.

TNA’s Progress Towards a TV Deal

“I would say that the game has definitely started,” Silva said. “When I was talking about it before, we were maybe in the parking lot, trying to figure out how to get into the stadium. The good news is we’re in the stadium. The game has started, and we are probably on the 30-yard line, getting ready to score.” Silva’s comments suggest that TNA is closer to securing a TV deal, with the company now working through the final details with a potential partner.

Silva’s optimism is shared by Santino Marella, who believes that a new TV deal would put TNA Wrestling in a strong position to become the number two wrestling company. Marella noted that while Tony Khan has significant financial resources, he thinks that “number two is attainable” for TNA with a TV deal in place.

With the company’s Bound For Glory event approaching, fans are eagerly awaiting news on the TV deal front.
