Could a Survivor Run be in Dream Girl Ellie’s Future?
Dream Girl Ellie, a professional wrestler featured in the Netflix docuseries “Wrestlers,” has expressed interest in competing in the popular reality TV show Survivor. In a recent interview with WrestleZone’s Ella Jay, Ellie discussed her potential strategy and strengths if she were to participate in the show.
A Strategic Threat
Ellie believes she would excel in the strategic aspects of Survivor, citing her ability to “gaslight” her opponents and create conflict among them. “I think from a strategical standpoint, I can gaslight these people well enough to be like, ‘Yo, this person said this about you. This person said this about you,'” she said. “Then when they come up to each other and be like, ‘Hey, I never said this.’ Be like, ‘Yes, you did. You literally told me,’ blah, blah, blah, and gaslight them into thinking that they actually said this and then make everyone else butt heads strategically.”
Ellie clarified that this approach would be a departure from her real-life personality, which she described as non-toxic. “Not that I’m toxic [in real life], by the way, because that sounded like I was super toxic,” she said, laughing. “Yeah, that’s [my alter ego]. I never said any of that.”
A Familiarity with the Show
Survivor was a staple in Ellie’s household growing up, with her family regularly watching the show on Wednesday nights. She also mentioned that they would have viewing parties for The Biggest Loser on Tuesday nights. Currently, Survivor is airing its 49th season on CBS, with fellow pro wrestlers John Morrison and Ashley Massaro having competed in seasons 37 and 15, respectively.
Ellie expressed confidence in her ability to solve puzzles, but was less sure about the athletic challenges. “I think I’ll be good at the puzzle part. The athletic part, maybe,” she said. “I don’t like running. I got bad knees, so we’ll see. But yeah, I think the strategic part I’d be good at.”
