Dominik Mysterio is fast becoming one of the most popular superstars in WWE but even he van get into trouble sometimes.
We’ve all heard tales of Stone Cold Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels and names of that ilk getting away with more than your average superstar with the WWE top brass because of just how important they were to the company.
While special exceptions will always exist, those days are seemingly gone.

Speaking on the Towers of Power podcast, the former Intercontinental champion explained how he tries to push the boundaries when he is on screen, but that does come with consequences.
“I’m the type of guy to ask for forgiveness before permission”. He revealed a specific incident where he “spit on Dragon Lee,” and when he got to the back, officials told him, “We don’t spit on people”.
Mysterio explained it was a little different because “I spit my gum,” but even so, he was told it was not allowed.
He also shared that he was told to stop doing “snot rockets” in the ring corner during commercial breaks, receiving word from referees: “Hey, was told no more snot rockets”.

Rules change all the time in WWE, though I can imagine the no spitting rule won’t budge.
During Vince McMahon’s reign as head honcho in WWE, words were often banned and the unbanned within the same calendar year and of course, wrestling itself has a ton of esoteric etiquettes, none more so important than the handshake.
Mysterio is fresh off losing his Intercontinental title to the soon-to-be retiring John Cena last Monday on RAW.
Although he lost a piece of hardware, the son of Rey Mysterio looked and was received every bit of the star he needed to be opposite a genuine legend like Cena.
After serving as the company’s resident despised heel for a couple of years, Dirty Dom has become a big babyface since WrestleMania 41 back in April and figures to have a huge 2025.
