The main event of the October 29, 2025 edition of AEW Dynamite was a thrilling “Fright Night 4-Way Fight” that determined who would challenge “Hangman” Adam Page for the AEW World Championship at Full Gear. The match featured four talented wrestlers: Bobby Lashley, Ricochet, Samoa Joe, and HOOK. This highly anticipated match was a chaotic affair, with all four men battling for the title shot.
Samoa Joe Becomes the New #1 Contender
In the final moments of the match, HOOK blocked Ricochet’s Vertigo and rolled him up for a near fall. He followed up with a lariat that sent Ricochet flying over the top rope. As Bobby Lashley charged at HOOK, HOOK pulled down the ropes, causing Lashley to tumble to the outside as well. This opening was all Samoa Joe needed, and with HOOK’s back turned, Joe blindsided him and locked in the Kokina Clutch. HOOK was unable to escape and was forced to tap out, making Samoa Joe the new #1 Contender for the AEW World Championship.
A Chaotic Contract Signing and Unexpected Attack
After the match, Joe’s associates, Powerhouse Hobbs and Shibata, came to the ring to congratulate him. AEW announcer Tony Schiavone then entered the ring and announced that the contract signing for the Full Gear title match would happen immediately. However, the contract signing took an unexpected turn when several people in Halloween costumes began to enter the ring. Seeing this, Samoa Joe told Hobbs and Shibata that he wanted to “make sure this is a safe environment to sign this.” On cue, Hobbs and Shibata viciously attacked the people in costumes, clearing them from the ring. With the area secured, Joe signed the contract for the Full Gear match.
Hangman Page’s Surprise Attack
Suddenly, “Hangman” Adam Page, who had been disguised as Tony Schiavone, got in the ring and attacked Joe, Hobbs, and Shibata. Page fought off all three men, hitting Samoa Joe with the Buckshot Lariat. The champion then pounded away at the downed #1 contender until referees and officials rushed the ring to pull him off as the show went off the air. This intense confrontation has set the stage for an exciting match at Full Gear.
