Former WWE world champion Jake Hager, known as Jack Swagger during that tenure, has taken up a new career.
Hager, 43, told TMZ’s Inside The Ring that he plans to make a splash in Dana White’s Power Slap.
“I’m so excited to announce that I’ve signed with UFC Power Slap.
“They’re doing a show on April 17, that’s the Friday before ‘Mania. I’ll be competing in that show in the heavyweight division.
“You know, I’ve been told I have a very slappable face, so I’m sure the line will be around the corner.”
The current champion in Hager’s weight class is Damien Dibbell, whose held the title since May 2023.

Hager was unbeaten as an MMA fighter with three wins and one no contest to his name. Though he never fought in the UFC, he did fight in Bellator which was the number two MMA promotion at the time.
Hager won the World Heavyweight title after cashing in on Chris Jericho back in April 2010.
He would only hold the belt until June and he would leave WWE in 2017.
He moved on to AEW in 2019 and, ironically, he served under Jericho in two stables during his time with the company.
He departed in 2024 and now Power Slap awaits him. The latest fight profession has attracted a lot of criticism for it’s defenceless hits, but UFC president White has persisted with the promotion.
