WWE executive Bruce Prichard has put to bed long-standing rumours that he ‘hates’ Triple H.

Paul ‘Triple H’ Leveque is of course a 14-time world champion and someone Prichard worked with while The Game performed in the ring, but now Leveque is his boss as he heads up the creative in the company under TKO.

Prichard was always considered a Vince McMahon guy, for want of a better term, despite the fact McMahon fired him several times, he did always bring him back.

Prichard has worked in WWE for nearly 40 years with a few breaks

When McMahon was jettisoned into retirement, many expected Triple H to surround himself with people closer to him, but Prichard has remained through WWE’s biggest boom period ever if we go purely off financials.

Speaking on his Something to Wrestle With podcast, Prichard insists he has never had a problem with The King of Kings.

“I have nothing to hate him for,” Prichard started. “And in all the times we worked together prior to coming back — and look, I can’t speak for him, I don’t know — but I do know how he treated me.

“He always treated me well. So he was a top talent, and obviously married in, but if he had married Betty down the street, he’d still be in the same position he is in today because he still has those qualifications. He still has that love and that desire for the business.

“That’s what I appreciate as well. We do share the same love and appreciation for the business. We always did. That’s the thing. That is 100% just rumor, gossip — people going, ‘Oh, well, you know.’ It’s simply not true in any way, shape, or form.”

“Any perceived hard feelings — I don’t know where they would have ever come from, because there weren’t any.

“So there wasn’t that opportunity to do that. Working with him as a talent, for me, I loved it. It was fun to work with. People want to create animosity, want to create all these things that simply aren’t there, because they’ve never been in that kind of role.

“They’ve never done it, so they don’t understand what comes with it. And yes, we are human beings. And yes, there are times when things don’t go your way — that you get angry, you get pissed, and you’re upset about things.”

It’s hard to say whether Triple H would have ended up where he is now if he had’t of married Stephanie McMahon.
Would he have been a multi-time world champion and many-time WrestleMania main eventer? Almost certainly; he remains one of the best heels in WWE’s history and was a perfect foil for the mega babyfaces they had at the turn of the Millennium.
But would he be running the company? That seems a bigger leap.
Still, Prichard remains a key figure behind the scenes in WWE and Triple H must keep him close by for a good reason.
