WWE have changed their main event plans for WrestleMania 42, according to reports.
Drew McIntyre winning the WWE Undisputed title was only decided last Wednesday and that has changed plans for Las Vegas in Aprilm according to Dave Meltzer.
“This whole WrestleMania changed on Wednesday of last week which is when they made the decision to go with the McIntyre title win. That wasn’t decided until Wednesday.
“I don’t know what the new matches are. They may be doing a three way with McIntyre, Jacob Fatu, and Cody Rhodes. That may not necessarily be at Mania, and that’s not even 100 percent, but I was told that’s kind of like it’s a possibility.”
Pretty vague guessing from Meltzer there, but he’s probably on the right lines for the triple-threat.

Of course, the mystery around who attacked Fatu to put him on the sidelines for three months will also come into play. Is it Rhodes? Is it McIntyre? It could be a different foe that sets up his WrestleMania story.
It had long been thought Rhodes would face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, but Meltzer seems to think that is no longer the case.
“The Cody Rhodes-Roman Reigns thing is probably not happening. Whatever it is, the Mania plans were changed on Wednesday when they made the decision to change the championship.

“[We don’t know why?] I think it was just one of those things where they wanted to shake things up.”
It’s never a bad thing to keep the fans guessing, but WWE should be careful that they don’t end up missing out on the matches that make sense in favour of surprise. One might argue last year they did that.
It still figures that either Reigns or Bron Breakker will win the Royal Rumble – both of them will possibly end up in title matches.
