Cain Velasquez has been released from prison nearly four years after he was arrested for attempted murder.
The 43-year-old had just one match in WWE, competing for the world title against Brock Lesnar at Crown Jewel in 2019.
He was arrested after he shot at a man in and hit an unintended victim.
The man whom Velasquez allegedly targeted to shoot, Harry Goularte Jr., had been arrested prior to the shooting for allegedly committing child sexual abuse on Velasquez’s son at a daycare owned by Goularte’s family.
He was later released from custody on a personal recognizance bond and Velasquez decided to take matters into his own hands.

It wasn’t until August 2024 that Velasquez was finally sentenced to five years in prison and four years of supervised probation.
On February 15, Velasquez was granted an early release, but he doesn’t appear to have a desire to get back into fighting.
“After my release on February 15th, I’m exploring the idea of hosting a one-day Holotropic Breathing Seminar in the San Jose area.
“Breathwork has been a powerful tool for me—physically, mentally, and spiritually—and I’d like to share it with others in a focused, intentional setting.”
A breathing seminar appears top of his to-do list. Good for him.
